A family in Ankara, Turkey, discovered a litter of grey kittens in their backyard this summer. At first, the litter seemed ordinary, but upon closer inspection, the family noticed one kitten that looked very different from the rest. Read on to uncover the mystery behind this unusual kitten!
The family was in awe when they stumbled upon one of their kittens with an extraordinary feature – an additional set of ears. They were surprised to discover this peculiar kitten in their backyard, but despite its odd appearance, the family knew it deserved a loving home alongside its siblings. They immediately sought help from friends and relatives to assist them in finding the right home for the kitten.
Canis Dosemeci had a stroke of luck when she responded to a family’s request to adopt a unique kitten. As soon as Canis laid eyes on the kitten with four ears, her heart instantly melted, and she knew that she had to adopt it. Her decision was motivated by the fact that a kitten with such unusual characteristics would have a difficult time being adopted or could end up in the wrong hands. Luckily, Canis made the right choice and provided a loving home for the adorable kitten.
Canis never intended to buy a cat, but instead, they wanted to rescue one from the streets and give it a loving home. They found a kitten and decided to name her Midas, after the Greek mythological king who turned everything to gold with his touch. Ironically, Midas was punished by the god Apollo and given donkey ears. However, Midas the kitten wears her unique ears as a badge of honor.
Canis took Midas to the veterinarian hoping to learn more about her unique ears. However, instead of discovering four true ears, the vet found that Midas has two regular ear canals along with two smaller flaps in front of each ear. These extra flaps give her the appearance of having four ears, but in reality, she only has two functional ears like a normal cat. This genetic mutation is responsible for her unique feature. Cannis was concerned about how her cat, Midas, would be affected by the extra flaps on her ears. However, after taking Midas to the vet, they found that she was perfectly healthy and the additional ear flaps did not cause any issues for her. Although Midas did not have super hearing abilities, she also did not experience any pain. Relieved by this news, Cannis went ahead and introduced her new kitten to her existing cat and dog. It did not take long for the four-eared feline to get comfortable with her new furry friends.
Midas is a cat that gets along well with her fur family, including her dog brother Canis who thinks she is one of the goofiest and friendliest cats he has ever met. Canis wanted to share Midas’ charming personality with the world and created her own Instagram page where she posts pictures and videos of Midas playing with toys and giving her dog brother kisses on the nose. People all over the world have fallen in love with the adorable four-eared kitten, marveling at her cuteness.
