In South Los Angeles, a little Poodle without a home was spotted hiding behind a wall for many days. The poor dog had been injured in a hit-and-run and was in pain for quite some time. Fortunately, someone reached out to “Rescue From The Hart” to help the pitiable creature.
As rescuer Annie Hart arrived at the scene, she noticed a dog lying on the ground. The poor creature appeared to be shivering and vulnerable, which led Hart to give her the name Layla. When Hart attempted to approach Layla with kind words, the dog initially flinched due to her fear of people. However, after a brief period of time, Layla began to trust and warm up to her new companion.
Annie comforted Layla, assuring her that she was safe, and held her close. After being convinced of Annie’s sincerity, Layla jumped into her arms and gave her a kiss!
Annie received startling news from the hospital that Layla had sustained serious intestinal injuries, causing her condition to deteriorate. Despite two weeks of no signs of healing, Layla made a full recovery with the help of Annie’s calming influence and her loving foster family.
In the next few months, Layla had a tough time recovering, but her foster parents never gave up on her. She kept trying and finally found a perfect forever home.
